In my experience APIs are an Essential component of modern technology and are used to exchange data and performd specific tasks between different system and application. Any performance issues with APIs can results in slow response times., errors, and reduce overall efficiency impacting the user experience, and potentially leading to a loss of revenues. For these reasons its crucial to optimize the performance of the APIs to reduce latency, Improve user experience, and encrease the overall efficiency of your system, this in turn can increase customers satisfaction, better user engagement, and higher profits for business.
