If you want to do front end work these are essential skills to have. There are probably 20 different ways of building a website so learn vanilla javascript and don't focus too much on the hype of all the javascript frameworks.

Knowing the verbs and how to use each one of them in the appropriate way. Most web applications are build using the HTTP protocol and following the REST standards.

Both are very important but you need to know when to use what. SQL is great for searching where NoSQL is not. Indexes are also important to learn and why and where to use.

If you ask me these are dying languages because they are interpreted. The future is compiled languages because of speed and type checking. I would promote Go and Rust over these.

In this decade of data, there is a ton of work out there for business savvy engineers to integrate and leverage a customer data platform(CDP). We see companies are moving towards rudderstack / segment and it being a game changer. CDPs solve the hard challenges around delivering billions of events reliably to downstream APIs. Frees a team up to make decisions about the data. Hiring in this space is really difficult, and that is opportunity for engineers. There are many roles in this vertical that require technical people... If I was a budding engineer looking to break in with a solid career that will explode, I'd go deep on supporting CDP technologies.
