For solar it's important to see of too many solar plates can concentrate the light in specific area and can cause high temperatures. So, better not to have people or crops nearby, which can be affected. Then if the sin really shines good so efficiency of solar energy produced is increased. Similarly for wind farms, need to have detailed report of wind patterns and if it will be efficient to install wind turbines. For wave energy, relatively new one, need to access the waves in the area shall not be too turbulent and not very calm as well. For hydro, continuous supply of water is an important factor.

One of the first steps is to assess the energy resource at the site such as, solar irradiance, wind resource, or elevation change to inform a decision on a suitable generation technology Proximity to existing electrical infrastructure, the electrical load in the region and availability of land to situate the infrastructure are all key requirements.

It is critically important to consider availability of Natural resources such as wind, solar while determining site for Renewable Energy.

In my perspective, when selecting a site for renewable energy projects, several crucial factors must be considered. First, the availability of natural resources, such as wind, solar, or hydro potential, is paramount. Accessibility to the grid and transmission infrastructure is also vital to ensure efficient power distribution. Environmental impact assessments are a must to minimize harm to local ecosystems. Furthermore, community engagement and local support are key for successful project implementation. Finally, regulatory and permitting processes should be navigated effectively. A comprehensive evaluation of these factors is essential to make informed decisions that contribute to a greener, sustainable future.

Having renewable energy systems installed shall not affect negatively the surroundings, habitat and living beings. For example in case of solar, if there are people and crops, better to have solar systems distributed at distances so as not to concentrate heat and light in specific area. For wind similarly shall not affect natural flow of wind too much, which in turn can cause turbulence in other areas. Relatively new form of clean energy is hydrogen energy. But as hydrogen is really combustible, so required very strict safety measures, so not to harm the surroundings. Hydro energy usually required displacement of masses for creating dam. So, in all the cases relocation factor is critical and shall be taken care before starting the project.

Doing renewable energy project doesn't mean there are no impact for the environment. In example, generate power using engine and use biogas or biomass as a fuel, produce a lot of noise. If the engine located near settlement, it will cause issue in future. Assesment for the Environment impact is important to do.

Renewable energy projects should not replace / remove active, productive agricultural areas and natural forests. The benefits of renewable energy should not cost the society at large long term benefits of other, equally important things such as food security.

Any huge scale projects definitely affects the people in area, their livelihood if it related to agriculture. In case of renewable like wind, solar or wave, it might not be required all the time. Even if relocation is not required, still preference shall be given to people in project area for jobs if they have competencies. Sometimes replacing fossil fuel plants with renewable brings fear in people of losing job and protests can erupt. So, it's important to educate and provide alternative livelihood for them. Educate the masse with pros of having renewable energy, specially related to health. In case of wave energy, shall not disturb livelihood of fishermen in the area or shall not affect negatively the marine life.

Reliability: The renewable energy project must be reliable and able to generate power consistently. Is there enough sun etc Safety (pretty self explanatory)

Renewable energy may require a wide spectrum of technologies from case to case. Coming down to operational asset management, as a commonality, management of risks is fundamental to all the different other aspects such as asset integrity, financial, commercial, stakeholders, compliance, governance, human resources, and probably the most important of all, health and safety management systems. All these elements prove essential to ensuring the success of the project.

The major points are: Site selection, site feasibility, equipment selection as per requirement keeping in mind location, selection of contractors experienced in such works and also how to transmit the power to existing grid and that its will not cost huge amount of money. Usually such projects are constructed in remote areas where impact on environment and life is minimal. In such cases, its necessary to have strategies in place for transportation and supply of all kinds of materials. Then, for emergency cases airlift option to be available. Clean water usually an issue for drinking cooking purpose. Then if the sunlight or wind or waves or water flow is enough to produce required energy.

Most of these solar panel farms are located in an isolated environment and are subject to vandalization by the hoodlums hence, the security most be considered necessary before embarking on the project.

The location must be accessable via Roads,and Rail roads is very important 3) lay of the land The lay of the land is very important while determination of the feasibility as it will considerably reduce the construction time ,and cost of the project.
