I've seen great results in my company by making safety a core value. This emphasizes the importance of safety from the outset. This ensures everyone understands - no matter how simple their task - that risks exist and require proper management. This clarifies the point about identifying and addressing risks even in seemingly safe activities. While complete elimination of workplace accidents may be aspirational, we can drastically reduce their occurrence by empowering employees to stop work whenever they encounter unsafe conditions - This highlights the importance of employee authority in safety. Finally, I recommend to involve all employees in safety walks and consider incorporating safety goals into their compensation systems.
