If an ICMP probe (ping) shows an unfavorable result, being able to easily and quickly observe or correlate all statuses and errors on interfaces along the path of this traffic probe would make it easier to identify a problematic section in a link. This would facilitate making decisions about isolating, mitigating, and restoring the conditions to their planned state
