In my perspective, when embarking on a design journey or problem-solving endeavor as a designer, certain considerations are paramount. It begins with thorough research, an indispensable step preceding any creative endeavor. However, it's crucial not to merely regurgitate the entirety of the research findings during the ideation stage. Instead, it's about refining the research, extracting key insights, and reshaping them into a more nuanced understanding. This refined perspective serves as the foundation for ideation and subsequent steps, enabling a deeper analysis of ideas and alignment with future goals.

Creative Designers follow a creative process that typically involves understanding the project brief, conducting research, brainstorming ideas, sketching concepts, and refining designs based on feedback. Iterative prototyping and user testing may be part of the process. The ability to translate abstract concepts into visually compelling designs is a key aspect of the creative design process.

To produce an effective design solution, each step is essential. Understanding the context through research helps in creating the foundations, while ideation inspires creativity. In most small companies there are not creative departments but only one or two designers, lead by a non-designer person. Unless there is a senior creative in between or ideally a creative director who can be the middle communicator between designers and clients, communication might be difficult. Designers and non-designers have a different mind and way to visualize. It's important to understand the type of designer you are hiring to work with, experience, attitude, way of working. I had met designers who just want to design and don't want to involve in the clients process or feedback ( that is ok) and there are others that want to do that process and help the client communicate in the right way to achieve a good project.
