A building is a complex machine, with lots of complex equipment all working together. Controlled by a system and to most it's unseen, working in the background, till something happens...example being too hot or too cold and good talented engineers are keeping this functioning at its optimum by being one step ahead. Now to add further complexity, we all want this functioning system to provide a comfortable place to live amd work, but want it to reduce the energy it consumes. The skill is in the engineers design, product selection, installation, integration and aftercare. Bms engineers are expected to know a multitude of disciplines at a high level. If you get an engineer that has all the above, keep hold of them.
