I have never heard anyone use the phrase "green OR". OR can be applied to many different fields. If you have the skills in OR, it shouldn't be too hard to work in different industries. I have done OR work in retail, auto, and sports. At the individual contributor level, companies are more concerned about skill than years of experience in a particular industry. By industry, I mean auto, sports, retail, healthcare, etc. I don't mean things like software engineering, data science, design, etc. I would call those domains/fields.

In addition to your skill set, one needs to consider the type of problem to solve. Traditional OR programs focus heavily on LP and MIP models and their solution algorithms all of which are deterministic models. In real life, there are way more stochastic decision problems than there are deterministic ones.
