What do you do if you're unsure if Technical Support is the right career path for you?

Uno puede tener dudas de la carrera a elegir cuando comienza los estudios, para eso existen unas series de métodos para saber si la persona está capacitada para dicha tarea Profesional. Una vez de recibido/a y haciendo la prácticas profesionales, pasantías, solucionando inconvenientes, se va dando cuenta que tiene aptitud para la misma. Con los a?os, la experiencia se va fortaleciendo, enfrentando desafíos que llevan a capacitarse todo el tiempo, porque el mundo de la tecnología va muy rápido, teniendo en cuenta la conectibidad, las redes, la programación, Inteligencia Artificial, etc. Vivimos conectados y necesitados de resolver inconvenientes con nuestros dispositivos; es ahí donde el Técnico protagoniza esta interacción con el cliente.

If technical support is not suitable position for me I would rather develop new skills where I am most interested about IT. I needed to assess my knowledge and skills for that.

Según mi experiencia en el área de soporte técnico es necesario tener unas bases solidas en el área de la tecnología y de la informática, estas se adquieren mediante el aprendizaje de la carrera con enfoque en estas áreas, también es muy bueno ser curioso y autónomo en adquirir habilidades y lo mas importante es tratar de iniciar con practicas profesionales y no tener miedo a asesorarse de los jefes de área o personas que ya tengan experiencia en el puesto o en el campo.

In this case I can also research roles and assess myself which position I am interested most. That’s how I can figure out if I on right position or not

En el área de soporte técnico se encuentran muchas áreas a las que se puede acceder, ya sea en la reparación de equipos electrónicos, en buscar soluciones en equipos informáticos o hasta la búsqueda y mejoramiento de redes de infraestructura, el campo de aplicaciones es muy amplio, por esto es necesario estar dispuesto a aprender diferentes habilidades para complementar un perfil mas amplio y dinámico.

Actually internships are always helpful to sharpen our skills. Seeking some internships on technical support might helps to gain some skills on technical support. And going deeper I would also know if I am interested in technical support or not

En mi experiencia la mejor forma para que un recién egresado o un estudiante en formación inicie su etapa laboral es mediante las pasantías o practicas profesionales ya que este tiempo de aprendizaje que otorgan las empresas a los jovenes es muy beneficioso para ambas partes, acá es donde uno pierde el miedo a equivocarse donde tiene compa?eros guías para corregir errores y también a mejorar las habilidades de comunicación con compa?eros de trabajo y clientes según sea el caso.
