What do you do if you're struggling to explore various ERP system modules as an intern?

It is a good opportunity to learn and explore yourself with new ERP skills. First, talk to your subject matter expert (SME) colleagues and understand the ERP module setup, sync, Interface in your business. Discuss your requirements and its solution. Discuss with colleagues will always give a better clarity, future vision, solution of problems and a strong bonding. Sometimes it will go in the opposite direction for you if your SME and your manager understand you are unskilled therefore an opportunity will be assigned to another your team member.

Knowledge and experience goes hand in hand. Anybody who is struggling in some task must seek help or guidance from the other people working in the organisation. It’s is ok to ask rather struggling.

I totally believe in hands-on approach coupled with erp and business work-guide sheets as it pertains to the position or tasks assigned.

It sounds cliche, but you have to get in there and do it. Watching videos, reading articles, and listening to colleagues only goes so far. Get in there and start configuring and troubleshooting. Learn the ins and outs until you have a firm grasp of how the system handles the most common transactions and which inputs are critical to those transactions. Nothing can replace getting in the system on a regular cadence.

Hands-on experience is invaluable when learning an ERP system. Start with simple tasks and progressively tackle more complex ones as your comfort grows.
