What do you do if you're struggling to adapt to new technologies in higher-level positions?

At the senior level, I need to adapt to new technology to stay competitive and lead my function effectively in today’s fast-paced digital landscape. I need to assess my current level of proficiency with technology and identify areas where I need to improve so that I can set learning goals relevant to my role. I will take advantage of training programs, workshops, webinars, online courses, and other learning resources to enhance my technology skills.

Absolutely agree!!! Along with workshops ,seminars organizations can look at company sponsored trainings, trainings by external associations, universities etc. It sis also important to train the leadership and make them ready to handle the teams. Because when teams are trained for new technologies ,leaderships should also adopt the new approach to handle them.

Identifying best mentors within organization will really help in navigating new technologies. Seasoned team members can be of significant help in this , also members from some other department can also be your mentor. Also peer learning or reverse mentoring can be a best option for availing mentorship. External mentors can also help in this process.

As a manager one should identify the skillsets or technology wishing to learn. Arrange a meeting with Tech team by expressing your readiness to learn new technology. Also it is important to align ones newly acquired skills with organizational goals , vision and mission. If Tech team imparts their time in teaching new technology , the benefits should be seen or experienced by management. It is very important to appreciate the extra efforts , skillsets Tech team are having.
