Common mistakes is by definition, mistakes that are commonly made. So nothing unusual. Nothing to worry about. Like children falling too often when learning to stand or walk. Like them, learn from those mistakes to avoid such things in future. And review your mental models so that you approach similar situations better.

I used to tell my junior team members that the most important skill for a developer is how to Google well. It is very likely someone has faced the same issue before. You're often likely to find a solution faster by researching than by troubleshooting it yourself. Also, if you made a mistake once, it is likely you won't recognize it even when rereading your code. Another set of eyes might see the problem immediately. I once had code which was partially written using USA spelling and partially using UK spelling. As I'm comfortable with both, I didn't even notice the difference between color and colour. My code did see the difference though... :) Another engineer looked at it and found the problem immediately.

In such cases, use langauge abstractions to move the complexity *behind* clear names. Use functions, structures, classes, variable names, and interfaces. Use sensible readable names in the language of the problem-domain. As with all writing, remember your audience. And no, I don't mean the compiler or interpreter. Your primary audience is other developers who will read and maintain your code in the future.

Study a lot and keep learning. If you choose this career, be prepared to study all the time. New technologies are published all day, and if you don't study, the market puts you down. A degree isn't synonymous with genius or with a certain way to get a job. But, it is recommended(and i think that helps a lot) to get a job. The most famous University's of Earth are on youtube, with the best teachers, teaching you, and you don't use the technology to your favor, anyone you can help you with.

Mental Health, Well-being, and Overwork: Pay close attention to your mental health and well-being. Programming can be a demanding and stressful job, especially when working overtime and relentlessly to solve challenging problems. While dedication is commendable, excessive work can lead to burnout, which in turn increases the likelihood of making mistakes. Make sure to set realistic expectations, take regular breaks, maintain a healthy work-life balance, and seek support when needed. Remember, a healthy mind is more likely to write error-free code.

Never ever think that you are stupid because you are making silly mistakes. Even great programmers do it sometimes so IT IS OK. Practice regularly and focus on what you are doing. Mistakes from one perspective could be expected functionality from the other perspective so do not judge people too early.

If the company wanted a professional, they would've hired one. When you're starting out your programming career your job is to do mistakes and learn from them.

This will help you grow. Difficult tasks are never solved by coding away until it works, and you'll learn to decompose the problem and structure the solution at the same time.
