Me encanta contribuir en este espacio porque esta pregunta me ha hecho mucho sentido, pues yo empecé mi ruta profesional estudiando Ingeniería en Computación y al finalizar esta carrera empecé a estudiar Estadística, debido al gran potencial que tienen los datos para la toma de decisiones. Según mi experiencia, lo que recomiendo es aprender los fundamentos teóricos que acompa?an los análisis estadísticos, desde lo más sencillo como un análisis exploratorio de datos hasta la construcción de modelos estadísticos, teniendo en cuenta las bases matemáticas, el procesamiento computacional de los datos, así como la adecuada visualización de los mismos.

Una vez que se profundiza en los fundamentos teóricos de la Estadística, es importante la aplicación con datos reales, iniciando con el análisis exploratorio, que incluye el cálculo de medidas de tendencia central y dispersión, de manera tal que se pueda analizar la variabilidad de los datos. Para efectos prácticos, también es imprescindible incluir gráficos estadísticos que posibiliten la detección de datos atípicos e identificar la distribución de los datos, lo cual conlleva a posteriores análisis más complejos, según el objetivo de la investigación.
