What do you do if you're lacking the key qualities employers look for in a candidate during an interview?

As a seasoned recruiter, I've seen many candidates struggle with self-doubt. My top tip: Focus on showcasing your transferable skills and strengths, even if they're not directly related to the job. Highlight your achievements, soft skills, and willingness to learn. Prepare thoughtful questions to demonstrate your interest and enthusiasm. By focusing on your unique value proposition, you'll stand out and increase your chances of landing your dream job.

Request the interviewer to reassess you in 1 or 2 weeks if you think that the missing skill(s) can be learned within this timeline. 4. You can refer a few of your past colleagues who might be good with those "missing skills". This would help showcase your positive attitude and approach towards the situation and the Interviewer might give you a "chance" for the next level of evaluation/interviews. 5. Always, thank the interviewer for allowing you to discuss. Time is precious and one must appreciate that.
