The first step would be to polish your resume and add all relevant experience (education/internships/projects/ roles if any). Reaching out to a specialised PR recruitment agency also helps, you can be added to their talent pool & get advice on the steps you need to take. Research online about the PR recruiters and headhunters in your region, don't assume they only cater to professionals with experience. Building your network is another way, though this will take time. Connect to peers/seniors in the industry you intend to enter and cultivate connections. Value addition helps as well. Writing a blog, articles, attending events, enrolling in mentorship programs, all help in being in a circle of relevant professionals and grant visibility.

Do you enjoy networking? If not, try not to think of it that way. Personally, I don't like the quid pro quo dynamic that many people get from networking. I'd rather just be social, do the things I enjoy and make friends along the way. I enjoy working with friends because there's already a rapport and trust with them. Then it is natural to think of friends that I want to work with, have advice to offer, or can help when opportunities arise. I've found that many of my friends think similarly. Which in my experience has led to fun working environments, productive results and good friendships.

Lastly, networking is by far the most fundamental thing in PR. Whether through attending events, workshops or just approaching PR professionals online, communication is key when breaking into the world of PR.
