What do you do if you're asked "why should we hire you" in an interview?

It's a horrible question to ask anyways, but if you were asked, just think of what makes you unique and why you want this role. Remember there are so many other talented individuals out there who can do the job well, why do you think this role fits you perfectly? And save the generic BS, be honest about why you genuinely want the role.

I hate this question and i don’t like to ask it to any candidate.. anyway just be yourself do not say much words like I love this company and I wish to be part of it..please avoid these talk because it does not represent you.. you can simply say because I see my experience match the job requirements..

I need the role cause i need a challenging environment that can bring the best in me and a better pay. Moving to a role that supersede your previous role can help you to solve complex task, enhance your problem solving skills.

This will put your commercial intelligence to the test. If you've asked the right questions, done enough research and know your position well... You'll have a strong understanding of the ramifications of the company hiring the wrong person, not hiring at all or spending too long on the hiring process. Highlight these key ramifications and counter with one clear reason as to why they need you. Don't attempt to sell yourself or justify why they should hire you. Remember, your job search should take 2-4 weeks.

This is more of a high impact interview question, so in my opinion, there is no right or wrong answer. My suggestion would be to approach it like an 'elevator pitch'—getting across a key point or two, to make a connection, be honest and also portray what value you can add to the company.

I have never been asked with this question. But if this question is put forth towards me I would reply " You are hiring since you lack with the resources and I am appearing for this interview since I am ready to fill that empty position period...."

Interviews come down to 3 things: ? Do I like you? ? Do I think you can get the job done well? ? Does the company can afford your? The first is about likability and personality. The second is about skills - that you may have for the role, and should be able to tell the interviewer about. The third is about $$$. Your salary expectation must be inside their budget (trust me, there is always a budget constraint) The more they like you and believe that you are suited for the job, the more they'll be willing to pay for your work.

To make your answer more convincing, highlight how your skills and experience will contribute to the success of the company. Provide examples of your previous achievements under a few skills that you find as strong and significant. If you have already identified what the company is looking for, you can pick the right skills to align. Also speak about your plans and timelines, like what you are going to achieve within the first 6 months or 1 year.
