What do you do if your web development projects are not achieving long-term success?

- Regularly test your website for usability and functionality. Collect feedback from users and make necessary improvements. - Utilize web development tools that can aid in your project. Some of the best tools include: - Version Control Systems like Git for tracking changes in your code during software development. - IDEs like Visual Studio Code or Sublime Text for writing and editing your code. - Frameworks like React or Angular for building user interfaces. - Testing tools like Jest or Mocha for testing your code. - Project management tools like Jira or Trello for managing your tasks and workflow. - Regularly monitor and optimize the performance of your website. Tools like Google Lighthouse can be used for this purpose.

Do not get stuck in one language/framework/system/company. If some project or a company sucks, make sure to get as much useful things for your own cv from it. You can always improve some skills in difficult times (patience, communication, conflict resolving) Learn communication skills, how to listen to others and be constructive. Every time you say something to your colleagues or boss/client, it should brings you both closer to the goal. Do not be a negative guy who always only sees the problems. Each time you go to talk to your boss/client, bring with you one problem and two solutions to that problem, as well as your recommendation based on the pros and cons. Make your bosses job easier, and your job will be waaay easier.

Evaluate: Assess project performance and identify weaknesses. Analyze: Find out why projects aren't succeeding long-term. Refocus Goals: Align project goals with user needs and market demands. Improve UX: Enhance user experience through better design and performance. Fix Technical Issues: Address any technical problems affecting the projects. Revise Marketing: Adjust marketing strategies to attract and engage users effectively. Provide Support: Ensure ongoing maintenance and support for projects. Monitor and Adapt: Track project performance and iterate based on feedback and data. Seek Feedback: Gather insights from users and collaborate with peers for improvement.

In the event of a failed web development project, analyze the cause, communicate openly with industry people, and learn from the experience to improve future endeavors. Consider options for salvaging the project or determining if it's best to pivot direction. Seek support from mentors and colleagues while taking proactive steps to move forward effectively.

Find good mentors but be thoughtful about their time. So choose and ask the correct (difficult) questions. Be a guy people like asking for help, as once everyone things you can help them, your boss/client will think the same of you. And it will open a lot of doors for you. Never ever compare yourself to others, not when arguing, not when discussing your salary. Do compare yourself with your past self, and measure your improvement and progress.

Improved communication with developers: Being able to speak the same language as developers can improve communication and collaboration during the design and development process. More control over the design process: With web development skills, a designer can create interactive prototypes and test designs in a browser, which can lead to more accurate and effective design solutions

Read AND Experiment Side projects. Solve real problems. Build real things. Contribute to open source. Katas. Not necessarily the stuff you find online, but katas in general. In other words, you learn something somewhat complex and common and do it over and over again from scratch. The more you do it, the more you’ll remember it. The more you do it from scratch, the more you’ll understand it (because you’re going to screw it up and have to fix it). Example kata: you learn how to create an aggregate root model. Do it from scratch. Do it for a crud system.

Do your own projects and try to improve them, it’s the best way to get more experience and improve your skills. Also, it will be a big plus while you will apply for a job because your future employee will see you already did something, and you know how to code. You can place your code in GitHub or bitbucket and also practice using git :) Can be useful in your future job!
