I have always found the various tools useful for ongoing dialogues - chat, documents, etc - but key is to actually have focussed time for sharing, learning and collaborating. Everyone gets busy, and often sharing or helping others is a 'nice to have' unfortunately, but having time every week or so, to really dive deep into a problem and how it was solved to learn from each other (virtually or together), I have found invaluable. You have a group of peers that can not only help work through a problem, but also as a group gets broader knowledge across the product, as we often get caught in our silos. So make the time, knowledge is critical, and a priorirty.

Everything important goes in: agreements ??, key info ??, and decisions ??. Then, I emphasize its value by showcasing moments when it saved us, like recalling past decisions or when someone takes on a new project. It soon becomes a team habit, occasionally needing structure tweaks.

In my experience working with agile teams is that just enough documentation to ensure a clear solution overview and the implementation approach is important and makes the knowledge sharing sessions easier as teams can always revert back to the shared documentation to ensure consistency and clarity. Teams that talk to each other, share insights collaborate better. It makes it even easier to onboard new members to the team without disrupting the entire rhythm of team. Very often teams neglect the retrospective sessions, which are an essential check point to reflect back as team, course correct and celebrate the wins!

What worked me to get all in one stage and same understanding is by making sure that following tricks are followed. 1. Keep the documents hand and make is available to all in sharepoint 2. Set the agenda foreach of sessions in Knowledge sharing. 3. Make sure that all who needs this info attends it (take attendance) 4. Give small assignments after each of the sessions 5. Created awards for best participant, Best questions and Attendance.

Lead by example. Show explicity that you as a leader are adopting the tools and implementing the change. Accept feedback but be the one to lead the change

Over communication in the beginning is a better policy than under communication. Don’t assume anything until the team hits a working rhythm and an inherent trust is built. Event at this point err on the side of written agreement/documentation. Even if via teams/ slack etc

Before talking about tools or trying to encourage knowledge sharing, I would put product-self-identification as the main task to tackle on. When a team know why it's building the product, when a team knows the impact of what they are doing, they will likely be eager to learn more and knowledge sharing will be proactive instead of demanded/forced by leadership. Tools will be adapted and the eagerness to learn more about what is being built will secure the path towards knowledge sharing.
