Luckily, we have moved away from such practices that do not foster innovation and resilience. Understanding a team's poor performance is not so complexe, you need to look at motivation and ability to perform. I don't believe anyone goes to work with the desire to not perform. It is our role as leaders to make sure every members thrives.

Provide constructive feedback to team members, focusing on areas for improvement and offering support and resources to help them succeed. Set clear and achievable goals, breaking them down into smaller milestones to track progress more effectively. Missions are accomplished by two way working & communicating on each aspect if required.

For that, we can stay with them to complete one or two tasks and then they get the confidence. They will achieve more out of it.

It is a learning process and you are in the position of teaching others to do that "thing" You need to be aware of the "power of delegation". When you delegate a task, you need to consider the strengths and weaknesses of the person in front of you, whether he likes that kind of task or not, and so on. People often just focus on the work and outcomes that the team is trying to achieve when doing team building. However, equally important are the psychological dynamics and cohesion amongst the team members separate from the specifics of what they are working on. As a strategy psychologist, when running team-building exercises for top teams, I have used a technique where you step back from the focus on work for a little. One way is to get them to allocate at least a half day from the time they have allocated to team building, ideally a whole day. You then just ask each of the members of the team to tell the story of their life. This can take thirty or more minutes for each member of the team. But it means they really get to know each other.
