In the world of musicality, there’s a term used called playing in the pocket. Basically, "in the pocket" refers to the idea of playing a groove that fits the song so well in all aspects (time, dynamic, rhythm etc) that your playing creates a "pocket" for other musicians to play comfortably in. The tone is set when the bass player and drummer play off-not in competition with- each other. Out of pocket drumming is drumming that clashes with the style of music/song. Teams are out of the pocket when knowledge is kept is silos. Work may get done but not efficiently.

Consider the fact that the conflict may not be about the edtech solution. It may be about something completely not related. When this happens, things like mental health and relationship management come into play.

What usually works in my team is to actively listen to each of them individually in the first place, trying to seek empathy with the other part of the conflict. Secondly, try to gather information from others who may have witnessed or been related in some way to the conflict. Finally, I gather everyone to collaboratively find the best solution for all parts.
