What do you do if your team is experiencing conflicts that are affecting their productivity?

Essa avalia??o é importante pois pode ter como origem até mesmo a postura e clareza na comunica??o da própria lideran?a. A identifica??o do que está originando o conflito na equipe envolve desde uma observa??o de cenário por parte do líder até o diálogo com a própria equipe e, claro que para isso é necessário ter um ambiente de confian?a entre o líder e a sua equipe. A partir disso é fundamental que o líder atue junto à equipe e demonstre os impactos em que o conflito interno pode gerar a todos os envolvidos e, com isso, buscar um comprometimento de cada um para a mudan?a no cenário.

To understand the issue it's first important to the perspective of both parties of the issue. During my time at MRC, frustration simmered between Swati and Rahul. The client's tax return loomed, and their approaches clashed. One meticulously clutched the tax code like a lifeline. Other ever the optimist, saw deductions dancing in the margins. After understanding each other perspectives, they were able to identify issue and potential of each approach

Facilitating an open dialog among team members who are having conflicts can be a double-edged sword. On the one hand, you want everyone to share their thoughts and feelings openly without restraints; on the other, you have to be careful that this doesn’t escalate in a shouting match and a clash of egos. As a manager, you have to make sure your team is always focused on issues and challenges, and less on “he said, she said.” Remind everyone again about the company’s mission, the values and what everyone is working towards… encourage conflicting members to respect and understand the other point of view with empathy. Remind members to move past their egos and beliefs, and instead focus on logic and understanding…

To address team conflicts and boost productivity, I will focus on fostering open and honest dialogue. I want to create an environment where team members feel comfortable respectfully sharing their opinions and concerns. Actively listening to each team member is crucial. I will provide my full attention to understand their perspective and feelings. I will then facilitate a collaborative problem-solving process where the team can identify and agree upon mutually beneficial solutions. Finally, I will ensure these solutions are implemented effectively, resolving the conflict and building a more cohesive and productive team environment.

Healthy conflicts, differences and arguments are actually beneficial to the company as they build resilience, encourage innovation and growth. Don’t shy away from conflicts and get bogged down when they occur. Instead, get your team to focus on the issues and complexities, the challenges that they are working together to resolve and excel. Train them to appreciate differing points of views. Inject humor as appropriate and share examples of your own experiences on how conflicts led to better outcomes. There’s no personal winning or losing in conflicts; only assurance is success of your team, together!
