Utilize tools and metrics to track time, quality, scope, budget, and customer satisfaction, and conduct reviews and retrospectives to reflect on processes, feedback, and lessons learned.

Whilst there are plenty of tools out there to help you track and review you can do it using excel, a whiteboard or even on a piece of paper. The important thing is to create some space for you and the team and ask 3 simple questions: 1) What's working well that we need to keep doing? 2) What isn't working that we need to change or stop? 3) Knowing what we know now, what do we need to do differently? Then once you have the answers, act on them!!

It is important to track and review progress and keep room to discuss improvements. Regular reviews help the team be on the same page and work towards shared goals, and discuss roadblocks along the way, which you can then communicate to other stakeholders. It is equally important to discuss past decisions and review retrospectively, so you can analyze and learn from things that went well or didn't in the past, instead of just planning for the future during reviews.

Balance work and rest to avoid burnout, fatigue, and loss of motivation. Take short breaks during the day for stretching, breathing, or meditation, and schedule longer breaks for hobbies, socializing, or exercising.

It is very important to take breaks and embrace downtime to give yourself the required mental peace and break from constant work. Product development, by nature involves uncertainties, and it can get overwhelming to deal with all of it constantly. You have to realize that this is your career, something you love to do, and not something that you will do momentarily. So you must work in a way you can continue doing this all your life, and care about your physical, mental, and emotional well-being. So take adequate breaks in between, invest in activities that make you happy like reading, poetry, exercise and so on, and keep yourself motivated and fresh throughout, for productivity to find its way.

Prioritize work and focus. Minimize distractions (phone, social media, etc. ). You can use a "cave" if the one is available. Also, you can use 25 minutes working slots: you work for 25 minutes and then rest for 5 minutes. Delegate as much as possible to minimize tasks that can be handled by your other colleagues/teammates.

I once asked the Managing Director of a successful UK retail company how he managed his entire business. He kindly shared a photocopy of his 'system' which was nothing more than a sheet of A3 paper, a fineline pen and a plastic folder to stop coffee getting spilled onto it! On that single sheet of A3 paper he would map out a fortnight's work and everything that he needed to say, do, delegate, chase, organise and meet. Every fortnight he would then transfer any outstanding items and add new ones. I've used a similar system to great effect to manage large scale projects and teams.
