The most transferable skills are the Human (soft) skills. The most important Human skill to highlight is your attitude / mindset and how that's linked and aligned with your core values and your life purpose. As a hiring manager I've interviewed thousands of people and very few have worked out what they really want which for someone early on in their accounting career raises the red flag of risk. Conversely those who do have clarity despite having zero accounting experience stand out and typically get hired. Experience takes time and by its nature we all start with zero.

In different contexts and industries there are skills that everyone needs to well succed in their roles. Everyone has to deal with tight deadlines, set priorities, negotiate deadlines with workmates or even with other departments in the same company. As you can see to deal well with this different challenges request us to develop, as well know, soft skills. As an experience we can realize that people who worked for some time as auditor usually move to a corporate accounting career. As well as people who has an experience as PMO usually move to a management role and perform very well. I would say that nowadays, every knowledge related to people, process and technology has been very important to well succeed in the corporate world.
