Highlight your technical skills and expertise through storytelling, at very least mention your understanding in SQL queries, db optimization, performance tuning and administration, and deep dive on which topic you know best. And don't forget to be specific on the successful results and how much of an improvement that represented to your clients. That will definitely help and make your passion shine through in an interview.

If the interview didn’t go up well, I will try to have healthy discussions with the panel that what are the about their current DB topologies. What kind of recent issues they faced and what were their actions to resolve them . What are their future goals in Technology stack they would love to add along with databases.

My ex government department we were only allowed to work on the mainframe and only the IT department or SITA handles the system, otherwise internally we can only download data into excel spreadsheets to compile our management reports. I found the process too tiring and a waste of time so I recorded a macro that did that once the information was on my excel spreadsheet the spreadsheet was a linked table on my DB table and that automatically created my query table and my reports at the same time. Some state departments don't allow their employees to work on even a simple access database they insist use excel very outdated. In an interview tell them to give you a scenario or a case study and just write a table, query and report to solve it.
