One thing I've found helpful is to delegate, create a volunteer forum or ask for an intern whi can obtain course credit to support. Do not think you can do ot all. Find a way to say, we must be doing something right, there is alot going on so let's manage up and maintain pur success best.

Never have one board member doing more then 50% if the total tasks. If you need to delegate more, you may need to take a long and hard look at whether or not you need to expand your board by 2 or more extra members. It isn't easy, but it might save you stress down the road. Often times, small boards feel that the senior members are more responsible. That's not efficient nor democratic! It's better to take the time to train new emergency members to do such tasks.

Everyone has different motives. My advice. Start with a financial argument, then move to a practical reason, follow that with the ethical case and follow that up with an example of how change would work and improve.
