Selection of the Right Mentor is the key which is deciding the entire programme effectiveness and successfulness. Before selection of mentor ,one must know the SWOT of mentor and where mentor having expertise accordingly mentor should lead the function If the right mentor leading means small flaws can be managed by mentor clearly the goals can be achieved such a way mentor will lead and support where the needs arises. Wrong selection of mentor will leads to the poor performance of business.

Reporting manager(RM) is the one evaluate the performance & give the constructive feedback & providing rating to their reportee. Ideally we should consider RM as the mentor. 1. Selecting mentor/RM is crucial. We should put more experienced candidate as the mentor since he/she is having the clarity of following: 1. Technical stuff related to manufacturing. 2. Soft Skill 3. Mentoring 4. Career development goal & plan 5. Clearly knows about organization goals & values. 2. Mentor no need be expert in all things, he/she able to connect with the right person in the organization who can help. 3. Giving training to mentors is essential. Reportee should be properly pair with mentor. Mentorship program should be with the culture of organization.
