Start with a clarity of purpose - once we understand what impact in life we want to make, we must align the most relevant goals to achieve this. Personal OKRs are a valuable means to stretch yourself and avoid vanity metrics. When I was 56, I wanted to bring systemic thinking to the start-up world by age 60. It started by committing to sharpening the saw - I set out to gain a Master's in the subject over three years. I now use my MSc to develop an informed practice and share content that helps founders to create more powerful, connected businesses that sit in an ecosystem of opportunity. You can do the same.

Strategic planning for long-term career goals is like a navigation & provide direction,purpose and envision road map to career success & lead to innovation.So understand situation currently, focus on the small steps to take at each level of career to practice moving toward,evaluation own performance &self assessment, asking questions that pull into new ways of thinking and current way of thinking,Seek perspectives from acquaintances,ask help from colleagues and use their experiences,knowledge to gain insight for the future success,build communication & external reputation,applies to flexibility, scalability, adaptability and honest assessment by setting clear expectations to highlights own strengths and reveals areas that need improvement.
