And as not a single coach is ever the same… why do we need to talk about competitive pricing? Coaching is life-changing and its equivalent monetary value is pretty obvious.

I actually don’t see the coaching market as saturated or competitive. Whether the coaching is super niched or more generic, every coach is different and attracts different clients. There will be never a lack of customers, life happens and that’s exactly why life coaches are more than ever needed! But please do your market research properly and understand what your customers need and want. That’s the basis for a successful coaching business!!

To attract clients and accommodate varying budgets, the coach can consider offering different coaching packages or payment plans. Providing options allows clients to choose the level of service that best suits their needs and financial situation. Offering flexibility in pricing or scheduling democratizes coaching- making coaching more accessible and appealing to a wider range of clients, ultimately enhancing the coach's competitiveness in the market.

You don't want to have too many options, as that can be confusing. Having a maximum of 5 options is plenty, with varying pricing tiers. For most coaches, a one-off coaching session is not going to benefit anyone. It's rare to get immediate results. So it would be a throwaway offer, in my opinion. Have a minimum of 3 sessions in a package if you're not ready for the 90-day option, which is the sweet spot for many. Otherwise, offer a 3, 6, and 12-month option for clients. Priced properly to encourage your premium offer.

In my experience, it was very rewarding when I was flexible with some of the clients who were really eager to start the sessions with me. They did their best along the way and I was grateful for their trust.

By organizing workshops, webinars, or group coaching sessions where clients can interact with peers, share insights, and learn from each other's experiences, coaches can enhance the overall experience. Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices, continually refine skills and offer clients up-to-date coaching solutions.

Focus on what value is to the client. What could being 10% more focused and playing to strengths deliver for them and/or their organisation? What is the value of being more present for family or putting your wellness first? What is the risk of doing nothing?

As a coach, you should be ready to overcome objections that clients have related to money. Most of the time why clients think you're charging high is because they don't see the value in your offer. So, how can you make them see it. - talk about the before and after results of your past clients - talk to their pain points - show client testimonials - offer add ons and extra bonuses - make the offer related to their needs - give them payment plans and discounts if needed Also, make sure in your marketing platform and content that you speak clearly about your offer, the benefits and your USPs. When it comes to client negotiation, be confident with your pricing structure.

One of the strategies I utilise is explaining to clients why I charge what I charge. And try to set a Minimum and Maximum to which I can be flexible, in order to make the price reasonable to my client

I understand that coaches have to fit market needs. However, we should never sell our services as kitsch. You change someone’s limiting belief for $5, your client walks away and makes millions because he changed his belief with your support. This ROI is insane! Coaching is an investment your clients have to make in themselves. So never ever sell low ticket offers!
