If the problem requires professional handling, will hire a subject matter specialist for resolving this. On the other hand if this problem can be handled by expert guidance it will be provided accordingly.

In a globalized world and work environment, firstly we need to define, what is "logical reasoning". As we come from different background, culture and upbringing, how would we be so certain what we define as "logical" is true for the other party? Moreover, in the context of the work environment, we shouldn't be relying in "logical reasoning" but rather, "what are we trying to accomplish" "what are the obstacles / hinderence to the goal" "what are the alternatives" as guidelines.

We need to be able to identify the informal leaders, opinion leaders etc beyond the known formal workplace leaders. By speaking to them one knows the real issues versus the projected issues. Sometimes these real issues are entirely different from the projected issues. Also , we must try and understand the hidden politics at play. Once we know these two, solutions emerge

Team Dynamics is something to be checked on. There should ideally be an open discussion of the challenges and finding the solutions to resolve the conflict behaviour. Sometimes it is just a mismatch of perception or pre conceived notion that impacts and creates conflicts. More related workshops, open discussions, small intra team recognition will help resolve this to a great extent.

For most of the logical failures, work environment, team structure are quoted as reasons. Always consider Human factor. Analyze for the missing link and customize the solutions needed like additional training, revisiting the policies, group brain storming, one-one etc. for each situation.

Addressing the main concern is the first step. From my perspective, every conflict has their own issues. It doesn’t help to force the sitation in to the one direction we used to know. So, asking right questions to sides, creating a safe environment where they can discuss and offering some case studies and tools to help them get a point are some key approaches I used to apply.
