Emails and social media are important communication tools, but they can also be huge distractions at work. To mitigate this, I propose scheduling designated moments for checking and replying to emails, as well as limiting social media activity to break times. This method helps you to stay completely engaged in your technical activities, increasing your overall productivity and efficiency.

I remember we had this benefit in other company I worked and we started Tuesday and Thurdays with mindfulness exercises and It was extremily positive.

In my experience, most Engineers on-call support are highly distracted by unnecessary chats and emails from stakeholders seeking quick resolutions despite the existence of defined SLAs. To manage such distractions, we recommend having both primary and secondary engineers re-emphasizing the processes to stakeholders and explicitly discourage them from reaching out to the team before the SLA timeframe elapses. This ensures a clear line of demarcation to protect the team from potential distractions.
