This helps the entire community advance, and by sharing what you’ve learned you’ll both help others, and also create the opportunity to learn from others in the field.

Failures in Information Security can serve as catalysts for success if approached proactively. Analyze failures to learn from mistakes and refine strategies. Embrace adaptation and innovation to develop creative solutions and enhance security practices. Strengthen organizational resilience through robust incident response and recovery plans. Build trust by being transparent about past failures and demonstrating commitment to improvement. Invest in training and collaboration to prevent future failures and improve security posture. Strive for continuous improvement and celebrate successes to reinforce positive behaviors. Through this proactive approach, failures can ultimately lead to long-term success in Information Security.

We will find failures in our paths. The most important thing is what you do with your failures...We usually say in Brazil: "If life gives you lemmons (bitter and sour), then, take those lemmons and make a juice or a caipirinha!" It means, learn with your mistakes, fails...they will happen anyway in your life!

Creo que este punto es uno de los más relevantes el comprender que las experiencias negativas pueden llevar a la innovación, entendiendo que pueda existir riesgos positivos que puedan llevar a una comprensión por parte de la organización de que esta se verá enfrentada a problemas y fallas, las cuales deben ser abordadas de manera integral, además de generar investigación para poder solucionarlas de manera singular generando protocolos y hasta programaciones propias que pudieran ser variantes de algún marco regulatorio existente.

Mistakes help us grow. I made them when I was young ( continue until today), but they helped me get better. Once, a mistake stopped our call center business for a bit. This taught me a lot, like being humble and admitting mistakes.
