It is imperative that you view your ERP as an asset. As such you need an ROI every year. You also need to make sure you are keeping it updated and running smoothly. We always had company goals That surrounded our ERP system. Whether it was a new module to implement or one that needed attention. Every year we found a way to make our ERP system pay for itself and then some. And never forget to maintain it!!!

Some of the areas that I have employed before are gamification by creating challenges, leaderboards on the work being done. Others have been team building activities, although in this modern world it is an effort to do. Another is in team meetings and calling out the good work that some members of the team have portrayed as feedback is worth a lot. One other area is having the change element being broadcasted as the broader business will see the change coming and present this, which gives a warm feeling to the team that what they are doing is worthwhile.

A lot of the ERP journey is hard yards , with highly creative burst's from time to time ( big workshops, meetings etc) I suggest if you crave constant creativity a role as an SME across many projects/clients or pre sales will be exciting (Some people don't want it)
