En mi experiencia pasada, me he encontrado con migraciones que se hacen apresuradamente, esto suele ser porque el ERP que se está dejando quedó demasiado corto para la operación de la empresa en un tiempo menor al planeado. Por esto mismo se hace la migración con intención de parchar el problema pero no de solucionarlo de raíz. Es necesario tener una visión clara de hasta dónde se quiere llegar con la implementación del ERP y durante todo el camino del mismo, hacer un "gap analysis" para identificar el esfuerzo necesario para llegar hasta dónde se quiere llegar contemplando siempre las capacidades de la organización que hace el esfuerzo.

Humans are often not logical. Be patient. Remember that an ERP implementation probably means that people who have been doing their jobs a certain way for a long time now have to do things differently. Humans don’t like change. Find a way to appeal to the positive effects of change and demonstrate that to your ERP influencers. If you can get just one key person to see the benefits, you will be on your way to overcoming what might seem like obstacles in logical thought.
