I've found that listening to and 'going with' creative suggestions from my team is highly empowering for them. If someone thinks their idea/suggestion will be taken seriously, they're far more likely to keep thinking creatively and bringing those ideas to the table. I may have to explain why things aren't being taken forward sometimes (even a lot of the time!) but I'm happy to listen to endless unworkable ideas and give them all consideration if it means some gems of ideas are able to find their way to me in the long run. We also have expectations around creativity - every 2 months we meet and everyone is expected to bring an idea to improve the business. This culture is important in setting up the table to bring our ideas to.
