Familiarising with the virtual meeting tools before the actual presentation is crucial, understanding how the screen is shared, how to read and reply to the added comments, how to respond to a ‘raised hand’, etc. helps to avoid any diversions or sense of embarrassment that could effect the presentation. Apart from this, checking if the internet connection, microphone and camera are working, background is in check and meeting link has been shared to all the required stakeholders becomes a mandatory step while presenting over an online call.
