Read the room , understand the audience and then tailor your thoughts accordingly. Audience might not be tech savvy or in details of the solution / POV that you have , so even if it means you need to give a quick background on basics it doesn’t hurt

In my experiences fundamental thing about communication is that you are able to exchange your thoughts with your audience. Being a data architecture first and foremost is to understand business context and able to articulate your technical ideas into business acumen.

During initial years of my career faced a lot challenges in communicating with different groups of stakeholders. You need to keep in mind - who is your audience and you communicate in a style which suits your audience. You don’t communicate to just communicate your thoughts,rather your audience needs to grasp it. This is the base rule I always follow. Another thing is to find what is your audience interested in, engineer, architect, business leaders, stakeholders all have different interest and understanding from architecture.

In my experience communication is very important to properly express your ideas. If you are not in a position to explain then it is hard to build the trust. Best way is to start with analysing your gaps Then learn some words everyday and improve vocabulary By doing or speaking everyday you can learn it in a much efficient way

I think there are a lot of tools available for assessing your communication. You can turn on your speaker coach in teams to get insights into your communication gaps. Secondly understanding the business need is very important to be able to effectively present a solution approach.

When it comes to learning about data architecture, everyone has their own style. The learning method varies from person to person, so it's important to find what works best for you. Personally, I've found that experimenting with different mediums, like Kaggle for practical challenges or Coursera for structured courses, has helped me gain a deeper understanding.

Make a note of any learning input you take from any source whether it be podcast, or any book. Make your own definition of learning and keep working until you are satisfied.

In this digital age, many resources (like YouTube, conferences, books, etc.) are available for learning data architectures in the medium of choice. The perfect learning strategy depends on person to person but incorporating which medium works well depends on individuals. One should figure out what works best and incorporate that medium into daily life. Tools like podcasts and YouTube can be ingested in leisure time. Focus on the tone and way of delivery. Analyse what works and what doesn't, and implement the same in your next presentation or meeting.
