By fostering a safe an open communication channel where team members can freely express their concerns, frustration, satisfaction, professional goals and suggestions for improvement, you'll get a good understanding of every ones priorities and how they align or differ from the project objectives. Preventing is always better than fixing, so I would recommend to have those meetings on a regular basis and not to wait for a situation of conflicting priorities to arise.

This is a situation where you hear the word "business critical" and that needs to be addressed. Always take help of a decision maker instead of resolving it between 2 equal parties. What is more important for your's or your client's business. Deal it with a cool head. Logic should dominate your emotions and make it a harmonious exercise. It is always good to discuss the problem at hand which is setting priorities and communicate effectively.

Conflicting priorities often comes with perspective which is might not have better communicated. Somehow that contextual understanding behind priority gets abstracted in people's mind and not gets communicated properly. There I have been practicing the skill to be empathetic in such situation. Having empathetic approach will help to discover the priority context on the other side of function. Open communication to understand different aspect like what business impact, reputation or customer satisfaction, will help to develop common understanding from both the parties. Though conflicting priorities are between two org functions, its after all same organization. So, open communication will help to unearth real pressing need behind priorities.

Developing a shared understanding of the problem can be a powerful step toward break the logjam. Each team is likely doing what they think is best based on what they perceive to be the required outcome. Without each team sharing meaning with the other teams and establishing buy-in from each other - this silod model can lead to a lot of frustration and wasted energy. By inviting teams to step up to a shared purpose, by looking at measures to better understand alignment, by engaging and enabling team contributions to shared purpose, a leader can make a difference. Indeed, a leader should. Alignment of purpose focuses the power of a team and produces extraordinary results.
