Do a brainstorming session to understand how your idea can be aligned to the business objectives, and if any minor changes are needed, be receptive & hear them out. Make the necessary modifications that are needed for implementation. It may happen that the time is not right for your idea to be implemented. Do fret. Park it & re-visit it when the business objectives align with your idea.

Creativity is inherently a generous act. It is a shared space. You take what you have in your head and share it. Acknowledge the contributions of others as part of that shared space.
