What do you do if your corporate real estate portfolio needs strategic thinking?

It has been my experience that in order to implement an Asset Management (AM) strategy, you need to empower your operational team and concentrate on Assets (property) performance on paper, value them according to current income streams, cap rates prevailing in the market and compare what the portfolio is returning “as is”versus what the equity could return if invested on other assets, and once that work is done objectively and accurately, then strategic thinking will be around the corner and the best strategy will become a roadmap based on realities not a dream hanging on hunches, and emotional attachment to neither assets, nor people or circumstances.
