Working with a coach is a tremendous way to receive feedback from someone outside your organization. It can be intimidating to ask your leader for help if you don't want to appear unable to do the job. A good leader will welcome that request... and it can still be great to work with someone who isn't as tied to your organization. They can ask questions. As they are learning about relationships in your organization from your answers, they can help you identify blind spots or new connections that you hadn't seen before. Outside eyes and ears can be incredibly helpful!

Each time someone sends you an email or a note thanking you for your participating... save it! You can either print it to paper or keep it electronically (print to PDF works great!). It's easy to forget all the small ways that we impact others, but by keeping a file... you have a reminder. In their own words! You can also keep a running list of "My Accomplishments for the Week" in a planner, a journal, or a recurring calendar invitation. Keep your successes top of mind! And watch them accumulate over the year!
