Getting real-time feedback during the presentation can help you gauge the mood of the audience during the presentation. for example, is your presentation too mathematical or is it too simplistic making the people disinterested ? is it lacking specific examples pertinent to the audience use cases? for example, if the presentation is about data structures, and the target is beginner computer science students, it might be worth while to start with queues or linked list rather than graph and trees.
