Dealing with clients who aren't providing feedback in data warehousing projects can be challenging, but it's important to address this situation to ensure the success and alignment of the project with client expectations. Establish Clear Communication Channels: Ensure that there are clear and accessible channels for clients to provide feedback. Offer multiple options such as email, phone calls, virtual meetings, or project management tools where clients can easily share their thoughts.

In my experience, when my Client hesitates or refrains from providing feedback, I focus on understanding why they are not giving it. This could be due to many reasons, such as being too busy with other priorities, unfamiliarity with data warehousing concepts and tools, lack of clarity about their own goals and requirements, fear of straining the relationship etc. I'd empathise with my Client's situation, try alternate methods to obtain feedback. During my experience, I have employed a mechanism called CFF (Customer Frequent Feedback) where we agree the cadence (frequency) to collect feedback, at the beginning of the project and ensure that the feedback is acknowledged and actioned, to ensure the desired outcomes are achieved.

I feel if clients in DWH are not providing feedback, then share prototypes, mock-ups, or demonstrations of the data warehousing solution to give clients a tangible understanding of the project's progress and functionality. This can stimulate discussion and prompt feedback on specific aspects of the solution. Also, persistence and patience can sometimes encourage clients to engage more actively.

First, we need to know: 1. Why they aren't. 2. Is there something wrong with humans' fault, or is it something else? 3. Is there a problem with the data? 4. Checking the process. 5. Educating them for the big issues we have. (If we don't have data that works, we can't able to go through.) So, we need to solve the issues and find solutions before we take actions. Eng.Akram Qasim

Break down your work into measurable milestones and deliverables that can be easily evaluated and assessed by clients. Clearly define success criteria and key performance indicators (KPIs) for each milestone to track progress and demonstrate tangible outcomes.

1. Make the questions pin pointed on specifics for the end user or customer to understand and answer. 2. Make the answers objective based so that it does not need more of an effort from customer to try it. 3. Divide the overall subject into logical topics which are simple, straight forward & easy to comprehend. 4. Provide comprehensive details of the product and its characteristics with the datapoints and examples. 5. Create a feedback action item against each granular level topic/(s) with an objective based questionnaire. 6. Ask for improvements, customer satisfaction on each, every topic of concerned product feature/(s).

Ensure that providing feedback is simple and straightforward for your clients. Use clear and concise questions, provide multiple feedback channels (e.g., email, online forms), and make it easy for clients to see how their feedback is being used to make improvements.

If your clients are not providing feedback, consider seeking feedback from other sources such as team members, stakeholders, or industry experts. Their perspectives can provide valuable insights and help you identify areas for improvement.

Always check if they’re still stuck using their all mighty excel files. Sometimes users are not willing to let those go easily.

Use the feedback you receive to identify areas for improvement and make necessary changes to your data warehousing processes. By demonstrating that you are responsive to feedback, you can encourage clients to provide more input in the future.

Document lessons learned, best practices, and improvement actions taken in response to feedback. Maintain a record of your professional development journey, including milestones achieved, challenges overcome, and lessons learned along the way.

It's important to create a culture of feedback within your organization. Encourage open communication, listen actively to your clients, and be receptive to constructive criticism. Additionally, consider incentivizing feedback by offering rewards or recognition for clients who provide valuable input.
