There are a LOT of micromanagers out there. And that is just a trust issue they need to eventually solve. The first course of action would be to talk with them and maybe lay out a plan to evolve-work together. Those conversations might help the professional relationship grow. If after those conversations you don't see progress or micromanagement gets worse, it would be wise to see how is this affecting your career path and what alternatives might be available along the way.
