I will try and know the reason for the mistrust. Is it based on past experience or what I have done. Then l will try to increase my trust index by been truth and open in my dealings with him. Seek his consent on key decisions before action is taken. How him or her to handle issues in his/her way only advising should the need arises but allow him to make the decision.

One thing I have found logical that I will try to understand the root cause of mistrust. However, to overcome mistrust developed, if any, we should be transparent among bosses, peers and subordinates. Miscommunication, if any, has to be managed through aggressive communication of your work.
