Porém, aqueles profissionais que n?o se adaptarem, v?o acabar ficando para trás, a tecnologia agregada à educa??o possibilita um avan?o no ensino, nas metodologias, etc. Busquem forma??o continuada de qualidade e siga fazendo seu melhor!

Dependendo da etapa em que lecionamos, por exemplo no ensino fundamental, a maioria dos nossos alunos já nasceram na era digital. Por isso é importante realizar um feedback com eles, sobre como eles est?o respondendo ao uso da tecnologia em sala de aula e quais melhorias eles gostariam de ver. Isso pode nos ajudar a perceber se estamos usando a tecnologia de maneira eficaz e atendendo às necessidades dos alunos. Procurar oportunidades de desenvolvimento através de workshops, cursos online e conferências pode nos auxiliar na aproxima??o com novas tecnologias.

I would say, embrace AI or you will not have a job. Accelerated computing, use of robotics, generative AI will revolutionize the profession of teaching. Next 3 to 5 years it will transform our life like the industrial revolution. We will eventually have a teacher and an AI enabled teacher. The latter will thrive and the former will be dead.

Be it digital age or earlier non-digitalized age teachers with in-depth understanding of the subject can never remain behind. They will earn both respect and money. Use of technology is an additional benefit for the better delivery of the content, be it in real classroom or virtual classrooms at global level. It is true that a teacher with good subject knowledge may lag behind, if he is not utilizing benefits of various applications available both in free and paid form. But if he uses the wings of technology or in other words various applications and tools, then he can fly virtually at global level.

In my experience I have supported many teachers who were reluctant to use tech and considered themselves too far behind. In truth any teacher, of any age, is capable of making good use of tech. 1. Find a colleague to support you who is good at using tech. 2. Focus on one program/aspect at a time, be clear on the advantage of using that aspect - this is for results not just for show. 3. Use social media like X to join groups / follow leaders in the field so that you start to become more aware of the options, but, stay focussed as you can easily spend time looking and not doing. For me tech offers time savings but not before investment of my time. It also can offer efficiencies and learning benefit for the children.

There are countless resources available online for teachers to update their skills in the digital space, many of them free. Most of the major online teaching platforms will offer free training and certification for teachers. There are also various MOOCs that offer the ability for teachers to upgrade their skills. Outside of more structured digital training there are opportunities for teachers to join forums and online communities where many of the options and resources are discussed and evaluated. By keeping up to date you are able to keep your lessons freshes and delivery most inline with what many of your students will expect. Keeping everyone happy.

Collaborating online is an efficient way to grow your knowledge quickly when working with other professionals. Getting the children to collaborate is also great. I love getting the children to work collaboratively on projects, especially using the Google Classroom and workspace tools. You will need to set clear guidelines and boundaries for behaviour and ensure that you are in line with any school policies in the area. As a hint - always be the owner of any shared documents, either by sending them out via classroom or setting them up separately. This will ensure that you retain control over who can work on the documents.

In my experience, collaboration has always led to some positive learning outcomes for my students. I will often reach out to other teachers via social media or internet forums to spearhead the collaboration. These collaborations can be anything from projects to media creation for teaching. I have found it best to go into it with an ideal outcome you want to achieve, but also keep an open mind, collaboration is a two way street after all.

This is easy for the AI to say but much more time consuming to actually achieve. Generally I will collate some resources that I am going to use into presentations that I share so that students can easily review the content later if they wish/need to. The data aspect tends to be available when we are using learning packages that provide it. It is certainly worth looking and and questioning but you should be cautious with data that may come from work at home where you do not know whether it is the student's own work.

This is very important. Most UK schools will have policy in this area that you should make sure you are aware of. Some behaviour by children may be considered a safeguarding issue. I remind the children regularly that all comments and contributions are recorded. What you put on the internet stays on the internet, even if you have deleted it. If you would not want me to see it then do not put it on there.

Educating your students about the safe and effective use of digital technology is something that should be integrated into any lesson that uses or touches on digital tech. For students to understand how to safely navigate the internet but also their own personal responsibility in it's use helps set them up for success in a tech-forward world when they have moved on from your classroom.

The digital world is exponentially growing and expanding. Technology permeates all aspects of daily life for so many people, which has so many benefits, but as the short paragraph opposite alludes to, there are also many important considerations that we as educators are responsible for discussing with our students. Ethical use of technology and e-safety are principles every teacher should be aware of, as every teacher is susceptible to questions from their students about this. A digital footprint may not always be erasable and instilling in our pupils that we can treat people online with kindness, respect, and compassion can contribute to their futures as global citizens of the physical and virtual world.

No mundo moderno e globalizado em que vivemos, promover a cidadania digital entre nossos alunos, deve ser parte dos nossos objetivos. Podemos, por exemplo, abordar quest?es relacionadas ao uso ético e responsável das redes sociais, incluindo o respeito aos outros online, evitar o cyberbullying e compreender o impacto das a??es online. é importante que nós, professores, possamos promover a participa??o cívica dos alunos online, incentivando-os a se envolverem em debates construtivos, a expressarem suas opini?es de forma respeitosa e a se envolverem em causas sociais importantes por meio das mídias sociais e outras plataformas online.

If the tech is not brining a tangible benefit then do not use it. Being considered and deliberate in your teaching is much better then just jumping on something for the sake of it.

I say (or type) this so much people might be getting tired of it, but constant reflection and evaluation of your teaching tools and methods in the classroom should be a routine matter for teachers at this point. Constantly reflecting on what you are doing, if it is working, and devising ways that you can improve your delivery in the classroom is fundamental to being a successful teacher. No platform, technique or method is going to be perfect, and there is always the option to find something that is more impactful in the classroom.

I'd suggest starting with documenting your workflow, from lesson planning to lesson delivery to student/parent communication, and start finding technological tools to optimize parts of the workflow you find too time-consuming. That way, you make the tech work for you instead of ending up having to change your whole workflow around a fancy new tech.
