Never ask for promotion. Thankfully in BPS industries usually targets are very transparent and volume based. If you surpass them, you will get noticed. However in certain organizations you need to clear some IJP tests to qualify for interviews. You need to prepare for them and the consequent interviews following them. There maybe some organizations where the promotion is dependent on certain other factors. In that context you may need to put forward the proposal to your manager.

Find A Problem and Solve It Many BPOs get faced with their clients problems all day long. The trick really is solving that repetitive problem you see for the client. You don’t have to be any special role to figure out how to plug a gap. I’ve seen many, many creative solutions come from the very front line the people who are listening to what’s going wrong or working on hard things everyday. Don’t think by solving a problem you are working your way out of a job. Eventually someone’s going to solve the problem, let that someone be you!
