Showcasing your past leadership experiences is paramount to properly conveying your abilities. I recommend starting from a place of authenticity and humility. Here are my suggestions: 1??Provide "detailed descriptions" of your leadership triumphs that are congruent with your genuine desire to serve others. 2??Ensure you exude passion and empathy during your interview when describing tangible examples. Remember, true Servant Leaders are kind and inclusive. 3?? Always speak with a team mentality, i.e., We, Us, and Our Team accomplished XYZ. 4??Convey how your leadership examples translated into tangible metrics; our team achieved a #1 Organizational Ranking in Customer Surveys. 5??Always share examples that include employee growth.

Storytelling is the quintessential skill everyone needs to develop. By the time you get to final round of interviews, the gap in skillset is minimal at best. This is the point at which your soft skills become most critical to successfully building a connection.

Authenticity is key — people and organizations want to know how you personally show up in a leadership position. Specifically: 1. What hard skills will you bring to make an impact on this organization and on this position (certifications, technological competencies, work experiences, language proficiencies, etc.) 2. We can use STAR method (Situation, Task, Action and Result) to make it more clear and sharp while explaining. If any setbacks, lessons learned to become more resilient is very important as a leader. What’s your story? John Maxwell says that you have to have the experience, the things you did, in order to talk about what you want to do. The “Did” comes before the “Do.” To effectively do the “did” you have to talk in stories. What did you do? Stories get through if you can connect them to your audience, tell them what you learned and how they can use it too. That is DEEP reflection that works.

First of all, really think about what leadership means to you! Do I really love people, do I have my ego under control, do I have enough life experience to share my experiences and attitudes? An example of what I had to learn. You are not made or promoted to be a leader! You are a leader or you are not! Why? Because you want to see your team members grow, listen carefully, understand and advise, and lead by example!

Having clarity about what qualities the company is looking from this leadership position and how you can align that with your experience. Matching your experience with job description, you demonstrate that you are the right candidate for the job.

Organizations today are interested in leaders who understand and align with an organization’s mission, culture, and values. Do some research on these values and culture of the organization before your interview and choose examples which reflect both how your skills and your values align with the organization.

Customisation is the key. A leader wherever they go, they need to use these three factors around them which are Acceptance of the new Customisation of their experience Building a brand for themselves They cannot overdose or make it low. It has to strike a balance. Only through the leader's adaptability skills, the management can get the confidence.

During the interview answering questions with the STAR method, help him/her to nail the interview. Give answers to questions with: 1?? Describe the situation you were in, 2?? What task you performed in that situation, 3?? What were your action in that situation as a leader, 4?? What results you achieved and your learnings from the situation. This helps you to demonstrate your problem solving and leadership abilities.

Being ready to flaunt the outcome of the planned action you took to deal with any situation or task is what is needed to crack an interview. Understanding an interviewing mindset is a prerequisite to crack the same.

Vulnerability with lessons. Mom and dad used to tell me how they messed up as kids. I learned a lot of things I shouldn’t have done through those stories. I still jumped my bike like an idiot and learned the hard way in some cases. Each time, I got stronger. What is important in all communication is that the experience grows people. Often the experience amplifies growth during growth. Look, it sucks sometimes - but growth normally requires us to go through a breakdown process before we can build back up. Share that breakdown with those you let into your life so that everyone can learn from it.

Share examples, how you evolved as a leader from your past experiences, your achievements, failures and learning from them and how you applied those learnings to be a better leader. This shows that you have self awareness and commitment for continuous improvement. Also it indicates how you use resilience during challenging situations and not getting stopped by failures with willingness to learn and grow.

Talk about your results both quantitative and qualitative. At the end of the day, that’s what matters. The results will demonstrate your leadership abilities.

Real life examples will make a difference. Showcase how your leadership helped the organization to enhance productivity, innovate, improve team morale and impacted bottom line. As a leader when you showcase these examples with. Data that makes a compelling case for your leadership abilities and demonstrates that you deliver tangible results.

We risk being overlooked when we don’t draw attention to our successes. Use “I” language on the job to take credit for your successes. We are often self-effacing that we say things like, ‘It’s not my achievement; it’s theirs.’ “I”language gives us ways to accept credit for our attainments without downplaying them. Don’t say: The company was saved thousands of dollars by implementing the proposed plan. Say: The plan I proposed saved the company thousands of dollars. Don’t say: The presentation was successful. Say: I gave a successful presentation. AND please don’t say “we” when it was ALL “you!” ie: “I’m so proud to have worked with such a professional and conscientious team and to have led them to these results.”

Focus on specific examples where you demonstrated leadership skills. Describe the situation, your actions, and the positive outcomes achieved. Highlight your ability to motivate, delegate, problem-solve, and communicate effectively with your team. Quantify results whenever possible to emphasize your impact.

Keep track of all your achievements in your google docs (or whatever you choose) I find having an open spreadsheet and making it part of my weekly assessment is a way to both have them recorded and to reinforce them into your mind + memory.
