I've ran into a lot of artist who want to "be different" from all the others and the funny thing is all of these artist end up being the same. "If you force a fart it'll just be crap." If you force ANYTHING (relationship, social posts, storytelling) it'll be crap. 100% of the time. If you force anything in a story or animation, people can tell. We live in a society right now where entertainers think they can add a bunch of "crap" into a story and think it'll slip past the viewers. Like Disney and others. What they forget is that the viewers are smart and they catch every chunk of crap. That's why those big companies are failing. So don't force things and things will be a lot cleaner.
