As a Geologist working in the Mining industry I felt limited in my understanding of GIS concepts. I could use the software, however I lacked the theoretical backing of the skill. I registered for a BSc(Hons) in Geoinformatics. This is where I learned about Remote Sensibg, Cartography, Photogranettery and Geographical Analysis. These skills gave me confidence in my GIS capabilities which allowed me to pivot and explore other fields in the research environment.
