1 What are AI and ML?

AI is the broad field of computer science that aims to create machines or systems that can perform tasks that normally require human intelligence, such as reasoning, planning, learning, and understanding. ML is a subset of AI that focuses on creating algorithms or models that can learn from data and improve their performance without explicit programming. ML can be divided into three types: supervised learning, unsupervised learning, and reinforcement learning. Supervised learning is when the algorithm learns from labeled data, such as images with captions or emails with spam or not spam labels. Unsupervised learning is when the algorithm learns from unlabeled data, such as customer transactions or social media posts. Reinforcement learning is when the algorithm learns from its own actions and rewards, such as a self-driving car or a game-playing agent.
